From July 1st to 4th, 2025, the Smurfs’ Village (our beloved lab nickname) reunited in Hangzhou for a refreshing retreat. After months of hard work in the lab, it was the perfect time to recharge, reconnect, and celebrate both science and friendship.
The four-day retreat was a delightful mix of academic and recreational activities—including white-water rafting, board games, group dinners, a lively BBQ night, and a lab meeting that brought stimulating scientific discussions in a relaxed setting. We also had the exciting opportunity to visit our newly established lab space in Hangzhou, sparking fresh motivation for the road ahead.
It was the perfect blend of science and relaxation, bringing fresh ideas, stronger bonds, and lots of laughter. Recharged and reunited, the Smurfs are ready for the next adventure in research!
